This includes St Joseph County, Elkhart County, Lake County, Porter County, LaPorte County, Marshall County, & Kosciusko County of Indiana. It also includes Berrien County, Cass County, St. Joseph County, Kalamazoo County, & Van Buren County of Michigan.
Traveling Yogi, LLC will provide all necessary yoga equipment for up to 15 students at a time. Provided yoga equipment includes the following: standard size yoga mats, yoga straps, 4 inch yoga blocks, mat sanitizer, and towels.
At Traveling Yogi, LLC, we offer 3 types of yoga classes all in the style of Hatha based alignment yoga. Hatha based alignment yoga is great for beginner (and advanced) yogis because it emphasizes on doing each pose in a way that keeps the body safe through modifications and the use of props.
We offer three types of classes. See below for a further description of each type of class:
Standard Class: In this Hatha based alignment yoga class, expect to do standing poses as well as seated and laying down poses on a yoga mat during this style of yoga. These yoga classes are 50 minutes.
Chair Class: This class is similar to Standard Class; however, it is done sitting in a chair or standing next to a chair. No floor poses. This type of yoga is best suited for those with physical limitations and/or people with limited time. Chair yoga classes are 30 minutes.
Assembly Class: This class is the same as the Standard Class only suited for more students at a time.
Any of the above classes (Standard, Chair, or Assembly) can be done virtually via a private Zoom link.

About Melissa
My name is Melissa Gunter, and I became a certified yoga instructor in May 2019 through the 200-HR Sagewater Yoga Teacher Training Program. Since then, I have taught in multiple places across St Joseph County including community events, private classes, schools, and virtual settings. While my formal yoga training is in Hatha-based alignment yoga, I also have experience in teaching chair yoga and children’s yoga. Through my experience teaching, I have taught a wide range of the population including beginning yoga students, advanced yogis, children, and seniors. While I love teaching students of all abilities, my most favorite is people who are new to yoga. Opening up this mobile yoga “studio” allows me to reach all walks of life, especially those that wouldn’t necessarily seek out a yoga studio on their own. No matter the audience, I strive to ensure a safe and inclusive environment, where all students can connect their physical bodies with the present moment through movement and breath work.
I am a member of Yoga Alliance, and I am certified in CPR/First Aid/AED through the American Red Cross.
While yoga is one of my greatest passions, I also enjoy birding, camping, and spending time with my family and pets.
